Mortimer Literary is stoked to announce some new additions to our family:

John Ramsey: Unjustly Persecuted Father – Nonfiction/Memoir

JonBenet Ramsey was murdered in 1996. Her father, John, wasn’t cleared until June of 2008. As if that wasn’t enough of a travesty, the police didn’t do such a hot job of securing the crime scene, nor of trying to find the real killer. Mortimer Literary is proud to represent Mr. Ramsey’s next book, which our own Pulitzer Prize nominee, Marie Chapian, will write.

Eric Sperling: CBS Sportscaster – Nonfiction/Memoir

Sports Anchor Eric Sperling got his first job in television as a news producer while attending the University of Nevada. He went on to become a news and sports producer in Sacramento; and anchored news, weather, and sports on the radio.

Eric left the Sacramento market to become the Sports Director for KOLO in Reno, and now anchors in Phoenix, the 5th biggest market in the U.S. He has interviewed everyone from Bill Cosby to Michael Jordan. Eric's covered the Super Bowl, NBA All-Star game, and numerous major sporting events all over the country.

Eric and his wife Malia don’t have any kids yet, but their two dogs and kitten: Simba, Lily, and Nalla; take up most of their spare time.

Mike Stouffer: Teen Advocate/Citizen Journalist/Inspirational Speaker – Nonfiction/Memoir

At the age of nine, Mike was taken out of his home and placed into a state mental institution. He had no home for the next thirty years. His book, In the Shadow of Forgiveness, shares with readers what happens to a completely broken and shattered child. It also shows his triumph after God sent him to his knees, totally defeated.

Mike’s book took over fifteen years to write. It shines the light onto some of America’s darkest and meanest hallways. It’s about faith, hope, and believing anything can (and does) happen. Mike shares with readers a great love story as well. If you like to root for the “underdog,” Mike’s book will touch you.

Mike’s writings have reached millions of people. The Associate Press interviewed him after the President of the United States [Mr. Obama] sent Mike a letter noting how much he admired Mike; CNN News released a feature story on Christmas Day of 2009, and the Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel ran an article about Mike’s incredible life.

When Mike isn’t writing, he mentors teen offenders through a local restorative justice program (MCRJP), or he’s out taking pictures. Mikes lives with his wife Bobbi in Wausau, Wisconsin. They have three children and four grandchildren.
