Speaking/Teaching Workshops
Ask Kelly to speak or teach at your conference! E-mail her for availability at: kmortimer@mortimerliterary.com
Workshops/Seminars:
Just what does a literary agent do, and why do you need one? Kelly goes over the nuts and bolts of agenting, outlining what an agent can, and can’t, do for you as a writer. (Beginning/Intermediate Writers)
Motivational speech that will rev-up your self-esteem. First, Kelly tells you about her journey from a high school dropout, to a successful business owner; then gives steps you can take to make positive changes in your life through what you say.
Words contain power. The more you speak them, the more you believe them—whether they’re good or bad. Learn what words to avoid, and how to change negative phrases into positive ones. Allow yourself to dream, then help yourself achieve that dream. Follow Kelly’s routine and discover the “Secret of Seven.” (All Writers)

Kelly Mortimer of Mortimer Literary Agency Presents:
The Second
Annual “Perils of Publishing”
Conference
[Formerly: Hangin' With a Happenin' Agent Conference]
Everyone knows I’m certifiably insane, so I need to keep up
my rep. I've decided to have another mini-conference this year. A
one-woman conference. [Or a two-woman, if you consider my bipolar disorder.]
Learn. Laugh. De-stress in beautiful
WHY?
· Many writers belong to large organizations, but can’t afford a trip to their pricey conferences.
· Many writers don’t belong to an organization, and don’t know where to start.
· Many writers can’t afford the high costs of conferences: conference fees, food, lodging, extra editing and seminar costs, and transportation. [Yikes!]
· Many writers don’t get a chance to know an agent in a ten-minute appointment. I wanna make friends! I’m a good friend to have. [So my friends tell me….]
· Many writers don’t like conferences where thousands of people attend. [Sometimes it’s better to be a big fish in a small pond.]
· I guarantee you’ll leave my conference motivated, more knowledgeable, and well rested. [You’ll have downtime, and great ways to spend it.]
· Conference will benefit anyone who wants to rev-up their writing, have fun with me, and possibly snag me as their agent. [Last year, I signed a writer at my conference!]
