Marc Weingarten

Mystery Writer/Comedy Writer/Comedian

Marc Weingarten has just completed his life-long dream: authoring his first novel: Cape Comedy, a mystery set against the backdrop of a comedy club. He believes this to be his true calling, finally accomplishing what was a childhood epiphany. At the time, he got hit in the head with a baseball, and when he awoke his first words were, "Norman Mailer, my tush." He has a cuter tush than Norman's, and Marc also has a unique new voice, bound to take the literary world by storm.

At 26, Marc became the youngest comedy club owner in America when he and his partners bought the historic Ice House. Four years later, he sold his interest in the club. Legendary L.A. disc jockey Rick Dees asked him to develop and produce The Rick Dees Comedy Concerts, leading to seven sold-out shows at the Universal Amphitheater and Pasadena Civic Auditorium featuring such stars as Jay Leno, Howie Mandel, Brad Garrett, Ellen Degeneres, Bill Maher, Kevin Nealon, and Louie Anderson. Marc is a voting member of the GRAMMY's for producing the albums of George Lopez, Richard Jeni, and others.

Other comedic credits include opening for Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald, the Little River Band, and Count Basie and his Orchestra; regular appearances on NBC's Wacky World of Sports, and as a staff writer and talent coordinator for ABC's Into The Night starring Brad Garrett.

Whether Marc is performing live, writing, or producing, the thread that links all of these talents together, is laughter.
